The use of some sort of rifle tape is highly recommended for all but te Elite Pro Rifles (which do not need tape).  This type of reinforcement will increase the life of your rifles considerably.   We offer 1/2″, 1″ and 2″ tape so you can select which option is best for you.

By taking the precaution of taping your rifle you can protect it from cracking when you drop it on a hard surface or splintering.

How to Tape Your Rifle

We found an excellent website that goes over the basic procedure of taping your color guard rifle.  We believe it is an excellent resource!  Here’s another one as well.

In a nutshell, you are going to put two layers of tape on your rifle.  The first layer is the protective layer, while the second layer will cover the first and acts more as a decorative layer.

Our tapes are durable AND lightweight, which is what you are looking for.  You want a tape that will withstand the beating you give it (not YOU of course . . . the other guy who borrows your rifle and drops it.   YOU would never do that . . .) while at the same time not making your rifle significantly heavier.

Don’t just go buy any tape.  We believe that duct tape can fix darn near anything, but trust us you want to use a tape made for taping rifles.   Duct tape is simply too heavy to do the job properly.

For the 2nd layer, you can use more of our tape or simply use electrical tape.   This is a great solution if you are trying to change the color to something other than white on your rifle.
